Why not be finished with both socks instead of just one? We will make the pair of learning socks Melissa writes about in her book (small child size) so we can hopefully get through in the time allowed. Then, since we will be using two differently colored yarns, you can use the same colors for your 2nd practice pair, and you will have TWO pairs of socks! Supplies: 2-at-a-Time-Socks by Melissa Morgan-Oaks Worsted Weight yarn, 2 different colors. Solid, light / bright colors. Typically, Cascade Superwash or Plymouth Encore are recommended. 40" size 4 Circular Needle Measuring Tape, Stitch Markers Learning Little Sky Cat Bordhi, New Pathways for Sock Knitters, Book One Taught by Nancy L. I knit...and have done so for over 45 years I enjoy all types of knitting, but REALLY enjoy design, lacework, scarves, gloves, mittens and socks. I am Certified as an Instructor though the Craft Yarn Council of America (CYCA). I am a candidate for the Hand-Knitting Masters Program sponsored by The Knitting Guild of America (TKGA), currently about 70% through Level I. I try to format my classes to be a structured learning experience. I want the students to relax, but I want to keep them challenged. I also offer post-class support free of charge for anything we covered in class. I've taught through Northern Threads in Fairbanks, Alaska, for 4 years, and I teach outside Alaska twice a year. My Mission is to make the tradition of knitting accessible to everyone, regardless of age, experience, or background. Through my love for the art, I want to encourage new learners to see their projects as a piece of art, to grasp the beauty in patterns of stitches, and to experience the therapeutic rewards in seeing a project through from start to finish. Classes are designed to encourage and empower the students to be enthusiastic about their work, and to be patient with their creations. Each piece is wrought individually by virtue of the pattern sued, interpretation of stitches, stitch tension, and the selection of the yarn itself. The finished project belongs to none other than the creator. It is yours alone. Contact Us roseandram@msn.com 226 S.
